Chigo AC error codes & PCB (E1, E3, F2...)
Chigo (志高) units and their OEM variants are common in the Gulf and southern Europe. Reading the fault code correctly tells you whether the board is really the problem.
Common Chigo codes
Decode first.
- E1: communication fault indoor-outdoor
- E3: indoor fan / motor feedback
- F2: sensor out of range
- P-codes: protection (voltage/current)
How to diagnose
Work in order.
Cut the power before any inspection.
- Confirm power and connector seating
- Test sensors and the indoor fan motor
- Check communication wiring
- Inspect the PCB for burnt or swollen components
Board replacement
If the PCB is at fault.
- Note the printed board reference
- Match the unit model
- Choose a tested board with warranty
