Panasonic AC error codes: full guide (H and F codes explained)
Panasonic air conditioners use two families of error codes: H codes for faults (communication, sensors, current) and F codes for protection (power, pressure, compressor). Reading the code points you straight to the faulty part, usually a sensor or a control board rather than the whole unit.

- H11 / H14 / H16: indoor-outdoor communication, sensor or current fault
- H27 / H28: outdoor sensor issues
- F90 / F91: power factor / refrigeration cycle protection

Diagnosis

On inverter units the DC bus stays dangerous for minutes after power-off: cut the supply and wait for full discharge before working inside.

- H codes: check communication wiring and sensors first
- F codes: check the outdoor power board and heat exchange (cleaning, outdoor fan)
- Inspect connectors and sensors before condemning a board
